Carrizozo Music, Inc. celebrates the 4th of July by sponsoring a free concert from their Portico Concert Series. From 4:30-6:30, Paul Pino and the Tone Daddies will perform original New Mexican music on the porch of the Carrizozo Woman’s Club. The Tone Daddies feature the vocals, original music and guitar of Paul Pino. The group includes Greg Martinez on six string bass and vocals, John Arater on drums, Mike Ledan, lead guitar and vocals, and Mike Campos on bass and vocals. Several of their songs have been rated #1 on Reverb Nation, and in the top ten of KANW 89. The Tone Daddies will play a variety of two steps, rancheras, reggea, rock, waltzes, R&B, blues and cumbias.
Bring a lawn chair, grab a grilled burger or hotdog dinner with all the fixings from the Carrizozo Woman’s Club annual fundraising barbeque, and join us for an evening of ndcelebration. Dinner available from 4-7 PM, take out available. Advance tickets are $5, and $8 at the door. Our next Portico Concert is scheduled for Sunday, September 9 at 5 PM and features the Dixieland Sound of Jim Shearer and the 2nd Line Survivors. The Carrizozo Woman’s Club will be selling Navajo Tacos, so check www.carrizozomusic.org for ticket information as we get closer.
